What is The Matrix Fabric

Matrix project was launched in Beijing, China, in 2013, successfully developed in lab in 2017,In 2019, the first mass production line was built;2020, patent was granted and application verification was completed;In 2021, Matrix material was officially promoted into market and got excellent feedback by both brands and users.

Front & back side

The front is rough , the back surface is smooth.

For Matrix material, theoretically speaking thermal insulation property of up front back orientation are same.

Downstream can adjust orientation of Matrix material according to application requirements.

A cold-proof clothing made by Matrix, comparing with traditional down jacket, it drops 80% thickness, has 5 times thermal insulation efficiency.It is made by environmental friendly, functional polymers and backing material. This technology is first successfully researched and developed by us, and we already applied Chinese and International patent.

Water-vapor resistance test report

Thermal conductivity of Matrix is 0.00824w/m.k, which can dramatically decrease heat conduction and energy exchange. Matrix has good moisture absorption and fast drying ability, water-vapor resistance value is 16.422(㎡•pa)/w, which can easily permeate out sweat generated by human body. So the clothing made by it has better wearing experience and thermal insulation efficiency.

The principle of thermal insulation

Matrix is a layer of filler which can isolate  heat and cold.

Matrix applied in clothing is like a insulation layer.

Outside of the insulation layer, the thermal exchange from cold air to body is dramatically reduced;

Inside of the insulation layer, the thermal exchange from body to cold air is as well dramatically reduced.

Demonstration of cold isolation

Room temperature is 20 °C, heating plate temperature is  125 °C, two layers of Y-Warm  is used

After 10 minutes, 70% ice is still left.

Excellent thermal insulation brings extremely effective cold isolation.

Moisture Permeability

With general test method for comfort textile, the water vapor transmission rate is 4000-5000g/㎡·24h.

Special function

Hydrophilic group in Y-Warm can quickly absorb water vapor volatilized by  human body;

High evaporation rate of  allows  fast  sweat exportation.

According to feedback from consumer,  actual comfortability is better than expectation.

Filling only with Y-Matrix

Y-Warm material and the lining should be sewn on four sides, hung and spliced on the back of the lining, and then filled between the apparel fabric and the lining (as shown in picture).

Filling Matrix + fluffy material

1、Quilting fluffy material and lining;

2、Sewing Y-Warm on four sides of fluffy material;

3、splicing.

Y-Warm should be sewn next to apparel fabric (as shown in picture)

Bias cut & Elasticity

Bias cut can make Matrix more elastic.

The relationship between layers and warm-keeping

More layers, better insulation performance.

The layers filled in sleeves is recommended less than in body  except for extreme cold application.
